Chicago Bandits Join Forces with Hall Of Fame Fields to Host International Tournament Series

Bellevue, Neb. (January 20, 2012) - The National Pro Fast Pitch World Champion Chicago Bandits and the Champions Village at the Hall of Fame Fields are pleased to announce the Chicago Bandits Champions Village.

These International Tournament Series will be hosted at the Hall of Fame Fields (HOFF) in Bellevue, NE.  The new Bandits Tournament Series replaces the former Cat Osterman Experience that was hosted at the multi-million dollar complex in 2010 and 2011.

Bandits General Manager Aaron M. Moore said his organization was excited about the opportunity to work with the Champions Village.  “We were very impressed by the quality of tournaments played at the HOFF complex through our experience of playing there against the Akron Racers in 2010.  Teams from across the USA and the world will play in these events and we feel it is a unique opportunity to give back and foster the upcoming champions of the future, as well as grow the Chicago Bandits brand at the grass roots level!”

Moore indicated that at least two members of his NPF defending World Championship team would be available to be in attendance Monday and Tuesday of each scheduled weekly tournament.  Since their beginning in 2004, the Bandits have featured some of the biggest names in softball, including players such as Monica Abbott and Jennie Finch.  The pro players will sign autographs, pose for pictures, participate in opening ceremonies and skills competitions, as well as answer young softball players’ questions about what it takes to become a professional softball player.

When asked about the new partnership with the NPF champion Bandits, Tim Law - Champions Village Director stated “We couldn't be more excited about our new relationship with the Bandits.  Anytime you can partner with an organization that has produced two World Championships, you have to be excited.”
